Church of the Covenant

This longstanding Presbyterian congregation at the center of Washington, Pennsylvania gathered and worshiped at the Church of the Covenant since its original construction in 1929. Since the structure had essentially been unaltered, its facilities had become inadequate to support the growth of the church.

RSH Architects conducted a comprehensive feasibility study of the existing facilities along with a space needs analysis. Phase one included the addition of kitchen facilities, meeting room and large classroom/lounge facilities for teen fellowship and education. Phase two renovations modified existing classroom and administrative spaces. The old fellowship hall was converted into a preschool and Christian education classroom. A grand gathering space was constructed linking the new building with the historic structure, offering a welcome area with direct with access to the parking.
