St. Elizabeth Church

Opened Christmas Day 1942, St. Elizabeth Parish rapidly grew to exceed the size of the original basement church and in 1952, the present church was built. RSH Architects was commissioned to provide a schematic design to renovate the interior that was previously updated in the early 1980’s. RSH worked closely with an appointed Interior Make-Over Advisory Committee from St. Elizabeth’s. The proposed design included restoration of the original altar, pew refinishing, relocation of the tabernacle, improved accessibility, an enlarged narthex and choir loft, in addition to general make-over items such as ceiling, wall, and floor finishes.
